What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra, translated from Sanskrit as "Yoga Sleep" or "Sleep of Union," is an ancient meditation practice that taps into the body's natural sleep cycles to unlock profound healing and spiritual awakening. As we sleep, the body instinctively disengages from thought, moving us beyond the mind. In Yoga Nidra, we consciously tap into this process, journeying into deeply restorative and meditative states while remaining aware.
This practice is not about doing more — it’s about letting go. While action arises from the mind, Yoga Nidra invites us into a state of pure being, where non-doing allows healing and transformation to unfold naturally. By consistently resting in the space beyond thought — as pure awareness and consciousness — we reconnect with our essence of wholeness, love, and peace. This remembrance infuses the mind and body with the wisdom to restore balance on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
Yoga Nidra creates an optimal inner environment for healing, helping to release limiting beliefs, integrate past experiences, and access deep intuition and innate wisdom. It wakes us up — by guiding us through the doorway of sleep.

Your Instructor: Shayna Muller
Shayna is a dedicated teacher and lifelong student of Yoga Nidra, profoundly inspired by its ability to transform lives. Trained in both the tradition of Swami Satyananda Saraswati from the Bihar School of Yoga and the Integrative Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra, Shayna is passionate about creating a space where her community can experience true rest. In a world filled with endless responsibilities and to-do lists, Shayna, like many, understands the demands of daily life. Yet, Yoga Nidra offers a much-needed pause—a permission slip to step away from the noise and reconnect with the inner sanctuary of peace and stillness that resides within us all.
This practice is a journey inward, helping us remember the vast inner world we carry inside. By visiting this space of deep rest and presence, we return to the outer world with greater clarity, balance, and a centered sense of being. Yoga Nidra harmonizes the inner and outer worlds, bringing them into alignment. Shayna is deeply committed to guiding her community on this inner journey, knowing that true healing and growth begin within—and that when we do this together, as a community, the impact is even more powerful. This collective healing is what inspires Shayna to share the practice of Yoga Nidra in the sacred, ceremonial way she does, nurturing the deep connection between personal transformation and communal growth.
In addition to serving as the studio manager at Reunify Yoga, Shayna is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Drawing from her personal healing journey, she is passionate about giving back to others through the practices and modalities that have profoundly shaped her own life.
